Either Virtus.pro or LGD will advance to face Team Secret in tonight's DOTA Summit 7 Grand Final match. Can the defending champions take a second Summit trophy in a row?

ru Virtus.pro were the eventual winners of the second to last day of DOTA Summit 7, but they didn't play in the first match of the day. The first two teams fighting to avoid elimination were ua Natus Vincere and world Team NP. Na`Vi were completely outplayed in two short and one-sided games, meaning Anime would live to fight at least one more round.

Next up was us Digital Chaos* vs Virtus.pro, but not even Abed's Meepo could stop them from losing the first game. DC turned things around to dominate Game 2 with a FoREv Enigma, tying up the series.

VP struck back hard in Game 3 with a classic Ursa pick for the bears. DC managed to slow down RAMZEs' Ursa by killing him a couple times early on, but once VP took their first Aegis they regained control and streamrolled from there.

The final challenge of the day for VP was the winner of the first match of the day, Team NP. The two teams have met four times in the last eight months, and the result was the same as it's always been -- a 2-0 victory for VP.

NP did a good job of taking the fight to VP, not allowing themselves to be overrun, but the end result was still a pair of lost games. While they managed to trade pretty well in fights, they didn't capitalize with tower kills and were outpushed, even with Aui_2000 on Treant Protector in both games.

They changed out their Game 1 Naga Siren for a Game 2 Phantom Lancer, and while the hero was a bit better at taking buildings, their lineup relied almost entirely on Magic damage and with three Black King Bars on VP's cores, NP were outmatched.

Virtus.pro advance to face cn PSG.LGD, the same team that sent them to the lower bracket in the first place in the Lower Bracket final. If they have done their homework and can defeat LGD, their final challenge will be eu Team Secret, who await an opponent in the Grand Final.

Tonight's matches kick off at 19:00 CEST. While you wait, why not check out this new "True Sight" from Beyond the Summit with a definitely-not-fake look at the post-game banter of Virtus.pro
