In theory, Virtus.pro were the strongest team in the Dota 2 Asia Championships CIS qualifier. In practice, a second day of internet issues forced the team to forfeit their elimination match against LQ and miss their chance to qualify. https://t.co/RghpmPyTHr G2A have left the qualifiers to DAC 2017. This devastating situation for ru Virtus.pro comes after being forced to forfeit their first match against ru Effect, when the area of their bootcamp lost internet entirely.

The organization made a statement after last week's forfeited match saying that they "have made proper conclusions and will take steps in the near future." According to Virtus.pro's General Manager on Twitter, the cause this time around might be DDoS.

With cis Team LQ* through to the next round, Group A of the DAC CIS qualifier has one match left. ru Team Spirit will face LQ on Feb 7th at 12:00 CET to decide which of the two teams will make through to the playoff round. Effect were the first team to make it through Group A after their earlier 2-0 win against Team Spirit.
