WINTER RESHUFFLE: Keep up to date on changes - Rosters now LOCKED

With just under a week left until the rosters are locked for the Winter Majors, we've decided it's time to put all the changes in one place for you to keep up with which teams will stick, and who will twist. The news will be updated daily. Update: The Winter roster lock has been delayed 24 hours and will now begin on the 9th December.

What we know so far

Tuesday 8th December

Confirmed: A clever move by us Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho sees him join forces with arguably the strongest player from the former Unknown.Xiu roster, pe Alonso 'kotaro / sqm' Leon Arango, along with his former team-matepe Juan 'AtunnN' Ochoa in Team "AS1-".

Confirmed: This slipped by under the radar but pe unknown (Shoutout to joinDOTA user PlayAFunGame) , the Peruvian team who attended the Frankfurt Major have in fact lost their entire roster. Former players pe Jesus 'ztok' Alberto and pe Alexis 'Greedy' Ventura registered on the Major's page with ARTYK Gaming.

Unknown.Xiu revealed a brand new 5-man roster on their Facebook page.

Confirmed: ua Natus Vincere said that ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin and ru Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev would be trying out players in the hope of finding the right mix of players. The organisation has now submitted a full roster with two substitutes.

Confirmed: ru Ilya 'Illidan Stormrage' Pivtsaev who was removed from Virtus Pro last week has found himself a new home in ru Walrus Punch*, alongside former Team Empire offlaner ru Maxim 'yoky' Kim.

Confirmed: The full roster of NO-VASELINE has been posted on Social Media by several players from the new team. In addition to Black and MyNuts are former NiP player se Jonas 'jonassomfan' Lindholm, Alliance's recent stand-in de Rene 'Kebap' Werner and former Monkey Freedom Fighter jo Yazied 'YapzOr' Jaradat.


Monday 7th December

Confirmed: No Logic Gaming have filled the void left by the departure of gr Omar 'Madara' Dabachach and gr Giorgos 'SsaSpartan' Giannak., by adding Zeroji and Masakary to their official roster. Their line-up for this season is:

Confirmed: Never underestimate the power of friendship, especially if it's the name of your new team. "Power of friendship !!" gathers together some familiar faces in the NA scene including us Chris 'ush' Usher and ca Peter 'Waytosexy' Nguyen.

Confirmed: ro Armand 'bOne7' Pittner is ready for another round. The Romanian who kept under the radar during the Fall Major season with just under a dozen games with eu Kaipi* has registered his team for the Majors. Also joining the team is former Monkey Freedom Fighters and Alliance's fr Sebastien '7ckngMad' Debs.

Confirmed: According to Team Empire's Twitter, they will be keeping the GameShow winning roster for the Fall Major season, which includes former Navi players ua Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov and ua Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich.

Confirmed: Alliance have published who their new fifth player will be, and it is definitely not a new face. Alliance have officially remade the TI3 winning Alliance roster with se Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist returning to the team for the third time. EGM played for Alliance earlier this year at DAC, but left soon after and has been part of several teams since then including Team Tinker and eu Mamas Boys*.

Confirmed: Team "No-Vaseline" is founded. The only two players registered to the team on the Majors website are former Fnatic player de Dominik 'Black^' Reitmeier and former Alliance player se Johan 'Mynuts' Andersson. They have 9 hours left to submit the rest of their roster at time of writing.

Confirmed: Former Cloud9 roster has reformed under the name Shazam. us Ravi 'ritsu' Kodippili who was kicked from the previous Cloud9 roster finds himself once again with his former-mates minus ca Theeban '1437 / Rose' Siva who left the team to move to Digital Chaos. Former TI4 EG stand-in us Mason 'mason' Venne completes the five-man roster.

Confirmed: Two Greeks, gr Omar 'Madara' Dabachach and gr Giorgos 'SsaSpartan' Giannak. decided to leave eu No Logic Gaming* in order to create a fully Greek roster. The team is called AD FINEM eSports and will consist of two former NLG players as well as gr Haris 'SkyLark' Zafiriou, gr Dimitrios 'ThuG' Plivouris and gr Verros 'Maybe Next Time' Apostolos. NLG stated that the rest of their squad will stay together and try to find a suitable replacements.

Confirmed: my Wong Hock 'Chuan' Chuan has left cn Invictus Gaming. There were whispers of it already floating around but now with him locking into a roster for the next Major season it is certain. For the next three months at least, Chuan will be playing for cn Newbee!

Confirmed: LGD Gaming sort out their roster and it will not change. cn Zhang 'xiao8' Ning and cn Yao 'Yao' Zhengzheng remain substitutes for the team. We could see more movement at LGD in the next transfer window after Chinese New Year but for now, they're sticking with the same roster.

Confirmed: CDEC Gaming's team on the Major's registration website was just missing cn Sun 'Agressif' Zheng's name on it, and with the carry player now locking into CDEC's team for the next season, their team will be unchanged for the Winter Major season.

Sunday 6th December

Confirmed: No changes for Team Liquid. Their registered substitute for the upcoming Winter Major season is de Roman 'rmN' Paley of Goomba Gaming. Team Liquid won the D2CL Season 6 online and finished 4th at the Nanyang Championships in Singapore during the Fall Major season.

Defense Season 5 winners Liquid are keeping their roster intact

Confirmed: Fnatic have registered their "stand-in" coach my Ahmad 'ADTR' Syazwan as a primary player for the upcoming season, making Fnatic a completely SEA team once more. Analyst and commentator my Chan 'Winter' Litt-Binn will be the substitute for the team for the second season.

Confirmed cn EHOME will be keeping the same roster that finished 4th at the Frankfurt Major. The future of the team looked uncertain after the loss of ROTK and DDC post-TI5 to LGD Gaming, but the team has shown incredible resilience, and new additions such as cn Wang 'Old chicken' Zhiyong served them well in the Fall Season.

Friday 4th December
Confirmed: Former SNa and Fire player us Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam has signed up his Team Mischief. Team Mischief was formed back in October with just over a dozen games played, but was active recently in Canada Cup. Team Mischief registered on the Dota 2 Majors page with the following roster:

Confirmed: Former Team Tinker/Mousesports player de Max 'qojqva' Broecker has registered himself as a substitute player for Digital Chaos. Qojqva was highly active in the scene at the beginning of this year, but decided to stop playing in June, and at the time tweeted that he was "taking a break from dota for the next few months to reevaluate my goals".

Thursday 3rd December

Confirmed: Despite Ohaiyo claiming the team would not be undergoing any changes, just minutes ago Fnatic published the news that de Dominik 'Black^' Reitmeier has decided to leave the team. In his statement Black^ said he will continue playing, but for now did not comment on which team he plans to play for. However, if his Twitter is anything to go by, perhaps a move back to Germany is on the books. Coach Ahmad "ATDR" Syazwan will be a temporary stand-in for the team.

Confirmed: Team Alliance have decided to drop se Johan 'Mynuts' Andersson ahead of the next roster lock. Team Alliance finished 4th at DreamLeague and 9-12th at the Frankfurt Major with him in the roster, but now are a man down.

Alliance are set to compete in the Defense this weekend at joinDOTA HQ, where they will compete with de Rene 'Kebap' Werner as a stand-in. Kepab was part of Alliance's 2-1 victory over Virtus Pro in Starladder earlier this evening, but Alliance said they plan to release information about their new 5th player after the event.

Confirmed and locked: SumaiL has finally locked himself in on the Dota 2 Majors registration page, completing EG's active roster for the next season. The team's roster will remain intact with the team again only registering one substitute; se Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg.

Wednesday 2nd December
Confirmed: Analyst and commentator Synderen tweets of his return to competitive Dota 2 two years after retiring. The Dane announces "Steak Gaming" a new mix-team including the former NiP-boys se Adrian 'Era' Kryeziu and se Elias 'Sealkid' Merta. Read more...

Confirmed: Virtus Pro have parted ways with one of their longest-serving players ru Ilya 'Illidan Stormrage' Pivtsaev. Illidan has been replaced by former Team Empire player ru Airat 'Silent' Gaziev. Wednesday 25th November
Confirmed and locked : Vici Gaming recruited Burning in the last transfer window but IamStaka, part of Vici Gaming's management team, tweeted that Vici Gaming will be making no further changes.

Confirmed: us compLexity Gaming make big changes to roster and add three new players; Chessie, Limmp and Handsken. Real-life brothers Chessie and Limmp played for the organisation before. us Luis 'Zyzz' Perez was initially moved to coaching position but left a week later. Read more...

Tuesday 24th November
Confirmed Mineski, who finished 9-12th at the Frankfurt Major unsurprisingly will be sticking with their current roster. The organisation made an official news on their website confirming the decision.

Monday 23rd November
Confirmed: eu Team Secret's Manager CyborgMatt posted on Reddit that they will not be making any roster changes.

Wednesday 18th November
Confirmed: Fnatic.Ohaiyo said in an interview that Fnatic will not be making any roster changes. However, the team has yet to officially lock their roster for the Winter season.

Confirmed and locked on 3rd December: Vega Squadron tweeted that they will keep the same roster and will not be making any changes. This is the second roster lock where Vega have decided to not make any changes to their team.
