The i-League finals will not see cn Invictus Gaming and cn EHOME, with both teams falling short of qualifying. In the wake of this upset, the Group A qualifiers were taken by a promising cn Vici Gaming Reborn* and an unlikely cn Energy Pacemaker*. The absence of those two leaves a promising opening for lesser known teams.

The teams will be joined in the final by their Chinese counterparts, cn Vici Gaming and TI4 winners cn Newbee. Alongside the Chinese teams will be world Mousesports* '14-15, se Alliance and my Team Malaysia*.

The Vici Gaming era

The Chinese Qualifiers were held in a group format, with 8 teams in two groups. The most noticable result of the qualifiers is the dominance of Vici Gaming. Not only did they win the group without dropping a single game, but Vici Gaming Potential also managed to take first place in their group. This leaves the organisation with two teams heading to the finals; two opportunities to win the $300, 000 prize.

LGD were the winners of Season 2, and will be looking to defend their title with a straight invite to the finals. The format is a double elimination bracket.
