Former 2007 MYM Dota 1 team with Mania infront of Merlini. See anyone else familiar? (GosuGamers.net)
Flipsid3 competed under the name monkeybusiness* and later Lianghao*. Now the Danish squad have been picked up by FlipSid3 Tactics*, a North American e-Sports organization who picked up their first Dota 2 team in June 2013. Since then they have sponsored multiple squads including a Danish one with a few players that are currently on the roster.
The team enjoyed decent success recently after winning Iron Trophy Europe and qualifying for the main EU ESL One Frankfurt qualifier, for which only four teams progressed to the main qualifier. Their first match as Flipsid3 earlier today ended in defeat after a 2-0 loss to Alliance in the opening round. However, there is still hope for them in the lower bracket, and with victories against Moscow 5, hehe united and BBC, could become a stable team now they have found sponsorship.
For those who were around in the days of the Dota 1 competitive scene there might be a special affinity with the team, given it features Mania. Mania returned to competitive play two weeks ago after retiring in 2013 after a brief stint in Dota. His professional career goes as far back as 2005 in Dota 1, where he gained critical acclaim as part of the highly respected Meet Your Makers roster, which Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen, Kai 'H4nn1' Hanbueckers and Ben 'Merlini' Wu were also a part of.
