One of the standout games of the lower bracket matches today was Game 2 of Vici Gaming vs Fnatic, which reached a mind-bending 91 minutes in length and featured Vici Gaming defending against Mega Creeps and Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao's Terrorblade for one third of the game.

The outcome of the game never seemed certain, even to the final minutes. In fact, at the 75 minute mark things were almost dead even in terms of net worth even though Vici Gaming were defending against Megas and hadn't taken any barracks themselves. Fnatic finally took the win after picking off Yang 'Eleven' Wei Ren's Legion Commander, giving them an opening to storm the VG base.

Unfortunately for Fnatic, that impressive win was their last of the event. Vici Gaming came back in Game 3 and eliminated the SEA squad.

Eliminations, eliminations everywhere
Luckily for SEA fans, TNC Predator and Mineski are still in the running. Mineski made very short work of LGD.Forever Young this morning with a pair of convincing wins against the struggling Chinese team. LFY called GG as Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung's Battle Fury Phantom Lancer took a set of barracks a mere 18 minutes into the game.
It's the end of the #ESLOne Genting journey for LFY after a 0-2 defeat against @MineskiProTeam. GG! pic.twitter.com/PovSPrFm6C— ESL Dota2 (@ESLDota2) January 24, 2018
Gang Squad* came into this event as many EU Dota fans' team to watch, but they've been knocked out on Day 2 after meeting Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket. Despite the loss, their performance at this event was impressive. Game 1 of their series against the NA Dota titans was a convincing win for them, but they seemed to lose steam immediately afterward and lost the next two games in quick succession.

The fourth elimination match of the day was between compLexity Gaming and VGJ.Thunder. The Chinese squad have been on a serious roll since winning Galaxy Battles last week and they didn't let their fall to the lower bracket slow them down yet. The first game of the series was a challenge for VGJ but, despite coL holding a lead for almost 40 minutes of the game, VGJ came back and stole the win with a triple Ravage.
The BIG Ravage spells doom for @compLexityLive who drop game one to @Team_VGJ! #ESLOnehttps://t.co/RUTJQihdBh pic.twitter.com/yqYcikkkUs— ESL Dota2 (@ESLDota2) January 24, 2018
coL crumbled in Game 2 as fight after fight went VGJ's way. Before too long, the Chinese squad had taken the series win and knocked compLexity out of Genting.
With the 0-2 defeat against @Team_VGJ.Thunder, this marks the end of @compLexityLive journey at #ESLOne Genting 2018. pic.twitter.com/4sbVpxY3Eu— ESL Dota2 (@ESLDota2) January 24, 2018
