Up until now the appeal of the Fall Compendium may have been questionable for some, especially given it does not contribute to the Fall Majors prize pool and its illustrious reward of Tusk's Whisky the Stout artifact requires the compendium to be levelled up to 150. However, the addition of a new chest exclusively for Fall Compendium owners might spark new interest as it comes with 7 new sets and changes to Coin Wagers.

The chest is called the Soaring Cache and comes with 7 sets as well as three additional rewards. "Every fifth Soaring Cache you open will also yield a Bonus Cache which contains either 5, 11, 24 Compendium levels, the Warlock set or the Ribbi’tar Death Ward."

Although the chest is exclusively for Fall Compendium owners, it is not a "free" reward like the Immortal rewards of the TI5 Compendium, and it will require owners to spend an addition $1.99 to purchase it. However, unlike the previous Collector's Cache items that were non-tradable, the Soaring Cache items can be traded or recycled from the beginning of 2016.

Valve attempts to improve Compendium Coins
One issue with the Compendium coins was that unless an enemy wagered on the match, you could not win any coins even if you bet. This is something that Valve has also addressed in their latest update, announcing the following changes for each match:

- 5% cut from Coin Wager winnings removed
- Increased potential Coin winnings from a match
- Now you can earn coins even if the opponent does not wager (before you would win 0)
- Compendium owners have a chance to win a Coin Treasure or 750 Coin Pack

Dota 2 Reborn theme recording published
As part of their post for the Soaring Cache, Valve also posted up a behind-the-scenes video of the orchestra behind the new Reborn soundtrack. The record of which can be found below.
