Todays two games from the G-1 Champions League matched up the fresh winners of RaidCall EMS One in ua Na`Vi and the North American hopefuls us Team Liquid, followed by an all-American (yes, Maelk is American now, too) clash as us Evil Geniuses took on us Team Dignitas. The winners will proceed to face up against each other tomorrow, 28th of April at 10:00 CEST, followed by the Winners bracket finals at 14:00 CEST.

ua Na`Vi vs. us Team Liquid

In the first game of the series, Na`Vi went for the combination of Keeper of the Light and Phantom Lancer, as they have so many times recently when they've been under pressure. But the North Americans were having none of it, instead taking early control of the map under the direction of captain us Brain 'FLUFF' Lee, who played an exemplary Lina. As Na`Vi looked truly uncoordianted, Liquid exploited every sign of weakness, and even the usual solid play coming out of de Kuro 'KuroKy' Takhasomi on Rubick with some great stolen Primal Roar's and various other spells was not able to stall the onslaught in the least. Liquid claimed a methodical and convincing win as their Naixbomb broke the base and rained carnage all over with a strong performance by ca Tyler 'TC' Cook on Lifestealer.

For game two Na`Vi tried their hands at the strong Lone Druid and Juggernaut combination, drafting what looked like a similar Juggernaut offensive trilane as they used at EMS One against eu Fnatic.EU, however as they thought the better of it, sending ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin to the safelane as Storm Spirit along with the supports, this freed up the Liquid supports to be highly active on the map once more, which helped them acquire an early kill lead and take control of the game. From there on after us Steven 'Korok' Ashworth on Templar Assassin went all kinds of nuts, running the game with great support from his team, in particular us Sam 'Bulba' Sosale putting in a solid performance for the second game in a row with some clutch Hookshots from down range. For the second time in a row, Na`Vi had to admit defeat, as they were unable to truly put up a fight even at their own high ground.

Team Liquid eliminate Na`Vi from the G-1 Champions League with a supreme performance and a 2-0 result.

us Evil Geniuses vs. us Team Dignitas

EG went for a offensive trilane in game one, which left the surprise picks on the bottom lane as ca Jio 'Jeyo' Madayag on Clinkz faced off against us Saahil 'Universe' Arora on Warlock. While EG first managed to keep the Luna of ca Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling down, they ended up rotating Rubick down to bottom lane to support the struggling Jeyo, which gave Aui the space to get back on farm at the same time as Jeyo was able to shoot ahead as well. While the momentum looked to be on the side of Dignitas, a turning point was a Roshan kill which was sniped by dk Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen on Ancient Apparition who managed to time his Ice Blast perfectly, which allowed him to pick up a early Mekansm, in turn allowing EG to take the next few fights as they out-lasted the barrage of ultimates coming out of Dignitas. While encroached spaces were still the domain of the Warlock and Reverse Polarity combination of Dignitas, when given space us Clinton 'Fear' Loomis was on point stealing Reverse Polarities, Hand of God's and anything he could get his hands on, turning around teamfights, which ultimately allowed EG to take the first map, as they capitalized on the uncharacteristic mistakes Dignitas was making in the late game.

Dignitas got their hands on a Fnatic.EU staple, the dual mid of Chaos Knight and Wisp, which prompted EG to try to go for an aggressive trilane around Juggernaut. However, Dignitas got the better of the lanes and got some early kills, looking like they might snowball heavily. But as Dignitas looked to put on the pressure with the global ganking presense, it was EG who came up on top with great reactions and countering each gank and nullifying the power of Wisp, as Dignitas lacked the patience that se The Alliance had shown the day before. This meant that the game entered a veritable stalemate, with Dignitas farming the map well but EG getting further and further ahead in kills. While the failed ganks had not cost them as much earlier on, as they went for a gank at the bottom Tier 2 Tower, deep inside EG territory and with Aui on Chaos Knight having missclicked his Black King Bar moments earlier, EG were able to seize the opening and turn it around. once more the only thing keeping Dignitas in the game would be Universe, who was able to distract EG for a short moment, but to no avail, as they eventually barreled down mid lane and ended the game in their favour.

Evil Geniues take out Team Dignitas 2-0 and will face Team liquid in a re-match of their earlier winners bracket game.
