After seven weeks of groupstage, it's time to seperate the wheat from the chaff and find out who will claim the final few spots in The Defense Season 3 playoffs. In addition to the tiebreaker matches we will be bringing you the final four games of the actual groupstages, which have had to be postponed but will now help round out what is certain to be a quite interesting week of Dota 2 indeed. Week 7 Results

Group A still has two matches remaining, especially leaving the future of ru Virtus.pro shrouded in uncertainty. A second place finish is still within grasp for the Russians, but on the other hand two straight losses would reduce them to a tie with br Nex Impetus and ru Lions Pride over fourth place. de Mousesports have secured the top spot with their fifth and sixth victories and now only one question remains; can they wrap up Group A without a loss? Also qualified for the playoffs are us Teamliquid and is aL.Academy. Out of the competition are by iCCup as well as eu When In Mood.

Two losses by eu mTw has brought the team to the brink of great peril in Group B, as tr HWA.Kingston is now only one win away from tying with them. The Turks have to beat a fledgling kz Next.Kz in order to force a deciding match. Next.Kz in turn are already eliminated along with br paiN-Gaming and eu KaiPi. In the most anticipated match of the group, ru Team Empire was able to end the perfect record of us Team Dignitas, leaving both team tied for first place in the group. se 4FC meanwhile have secured themselves third place.

Much is yet up in the air in Group C with pe Gamer University, se Turtle Masters, and dk dd.Dota all tied in third place with 4-3 stats. us Evil Geniuses are threatening to make things even more interesting if they lose their final game against group leader se No Tidehunter, which case they will join the three others on a 4-3 score and face the possibility of elimination. If EG manage to take home a win in turn they will be tied for first with NTH. One of those four teams will be defeated. Already out are us Fnatic.NA and se Svenhunterz, while de We Haz Asian disbanded two weeks back.

eu Fnatic.EU managed to secure their win of Group D without dropping a single game, and admirable result in what looked to be a very tough group. Behind them ua Na`Vi had had a pretty good (although perhaps somewhat dissapointing) run with five victories, earning them a joint second place along with Danish newcomers dk 3DMax. Fourth place goes to eu Absolute Legends, despite still lacking an official lineup. aL did benefit from the disbanding of ru XX5 only one day before their final match. Also eliminated are fr Baguette, us Root Gaming, and pl Qwert12345.
