With an announcement on Facebook just moments ago, nl WehSing 'SingSing' Yuen has returned to competitive Dota 2 with a team that might see him reunited with his former teammate from eu Mousesports ro Craciunescu 'ComeWithMe' Alexandru. They will be taking on the name of their primary sponsor, calling themselves se QPAD Dragons.

SingSing chilling with Toby, Draskyl and Sheever at DreamHack Winter 2012

The process of putting together the team is one which se Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström and Sing have taken their time with, unwilling to rush into anything with players who lacked the same commitment Sing had called for before choosing to leave Mouz. This also shows in that the roster which was announced is still not complete, but will continue to trial their support members for a few more weeks.

Wagamama, well known strategic innovator and former captain of se Pulse eSports is the second core member of the team and will be taking on the captains role as well as playing the hard carry for the team. Off the record Wagamama may or may not have also hinted that his duties as captain will include making all the members of the team brush their teeth and wash behind their ears before bedtime each evening.

The team has opted to form direct relationships with QPAD rather than going through an existing organization, something which uk James '2GD' Harding has been instrumental in making happen. The team will also get access to a LAN environment at the QPAD offices in Stockholm, Sweden, which may indicate that we will continue to see members from the team make cameo appearances at The GD Studio. Both Sing and Wagamama are also looking at starting up streaming regularly on Twitch.tv in the near future.

Meet the trials!

The slots which remain to be filled are those of two supports as well as the offlane, and the team has been practicing for some time now with three possible candidates for support as well as the likely offlaner, which are here ordered according to role as well as how well the community has come to know them.

se Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist comes from the same lineage as Wagamama, being a former Pulse player and was brought into the team by Wagamama and ended up impressing Sing with his highly solid offlane play. While he is officially still a trial, the other players have not been swapping roles around with EGM, and all indications have been towards EGM being fairly secure in his spot.

CWM came to this team by way of eu Absolute Legends, a team which he helped put together after leaving Mouz post-The International 2012. While CWM is no newcomer to playing a support role, he has been known to at times be somewhat difficult to deal with. It is likely this is one of the questions that the team will have to grapple with as they try to determine what living together with CWM might be like.

se Hampus 'Mini' Olsson is the famous Wisp player from Pulse, who started standing in for scrims when CWM was unavailable, and ended up impressing SingSing. Without a doubt Mini knows much of the team already and has shown himself to be a rising star in the scene.

The final potential member of the team and the least well known will be Finnish long time stand-in player fi Benjamin 'NotAHax' Läärä, who has been well regarded as a gun for hire but has been branded with the same stigma as used to follow de Dominik 'Black^' Reitmeier prior to his settling down with Mouz. His Dota 2 team history includes playing with the mix eu Problem??? which featured top European players such as dk Brian 'Mania-' Strandby and dk Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen as well as eu Epidemic, a team which was lead by famous captain cz Petr 'craNich' Meluzin. He was also part of the international ru Team Empire lineup along with fi Kalle 'Trixi' Saarinen which was trialed prior to the formation of the current Russian speaking roster. Notably, NotAHax has played solo roles in the past, but has taken on the role of support for this team.

Statements from the team

We got in contact with Wagamama prior to the announcement today and asked him a bit about how he was feeling about the team, the sponsorship and the decision to take some further time to thoroughly go through the trials.

Statement by se Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström (Captain):

I'm feeling very confident about the new team I'm creating along with Sing. We've been practicing some the last few weeks, and even though we're still doing tryouts I believe that we will definitely pose a threat in the tournaments we will enter. The tryouts will last as long as is needed, we want everyone on the team to be on the same level about things, which is why we rather see it taking a bit longer than rushing into something prematurely.

The sponsorship that we have been offered is very generous, and its very clear that they want to give us every chance to dedicate fully to the game. As soon as our trials are done, we will start moving together, to make use of the gaming offices provided for us by Qpad.

nl WehSing 'SingSing' Yuen (Co-Captain) also chimed in with a short message to his fans:

Thanks for all the fans so far that have been following me, I hope I can make it worth everyone's time this time around.
