Details for G-League LAN finals revealed

G-League season 2 is just around the corner, and the schedule and format for the LAN competition has been released.


All games will be played in the Mercedez Benz's cultural center.

Winners of each group will proceed directly to the Semi-finals, whilst teams in fourth place will be eliminated from the running. The second placed team in Group A will play an extra match against the third placed team in Group B; vice versa. Winners of both matches will then complete the lineup for the Semi-finals. Winners of the Semi-finals will proceed to the Grand final.

All matches are best of three, with the Grand Final a best of five affair.

Prize Pool

1st - $32,000
2nd - $8,000
3rd-4th - $1,600

TI1 and 2 Winner took $1,000,000, runner-up only $250,000, if you do the sample math, you would realize the fractions are the same --> second place worth about 1/4 of the champ.

I dont see how are they imbalanced. There are 3 good well-known teams in each groups, while there's just 1 unknown team for me in each group (FL and VG)
