Game 1

The first game of the series saw a good bit of maneuvering early on, but as Fnatic started picking up kills, they picked up speed on the back of fi Kalle ‘Trixi’ Saarinen who was always there with his Bounty Hunter, giving his team that extra farm and experience with his Track. As they established their control of the map it created the room for se Adrian ‘Era’ Kryeziu to farm up his Sven, who then proceeded to carry the mid game and allowing Fnatic to take home the first game with a convincing 22-6 kill score.

Game 2

While Fnatic got off to a good start, NTH hit back with a strong presence from se Henrik ‘AdmiralBulldog’ Ahnberg on Nature’s Prophet, sending the teams neck and neck into the mid game. Great co-ordination from NTH kept them going in the game with se Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg leading the way on farm with his Gyrocopter. Amazing saves time and again from dk Johan ‘n0tail’ Sundstein kept on denying NTH their kills on Era’s Sven. Because of this Era was eventually able to reach that point where, with the initiation of de Kai ‘H4nn1’ Hanbueckers Magnataur, he was able to take out NTH in a single big hit. Confident in their position, Fnatic set up sieging NTH’s base, where the tankyness of Sven as well as Trixi’s Lone Druid was enough to allow them to take out the first set of Barracks at 37 minutes.

Backs against the wall, NTH pulled out the Divine Rapier for Gyrocopter, making use of the powerful splash damage from Flak Cannon, which absolutely wiped Fnatic in their first engagement after this point, resulting in mass buybacks. With a Satanic as well, Loda was putting out 1600 damage critical hits with 1000 range area-of-effect, which put Fnatic on the back foot and allowed NTH to equalize the game by destroying Fnatic’s top set of Barracks. As they sieged up in the middle, Fnatic finally got the initiation they needed, allowing them to take out Gyrocopter twice in a row and claiming the Divine Rapier for themselves.

Another Divine Rapier on Loda and NTH positioned themselves to fight outside Roshan’s Pit, but an amazing initiation from H4nn1 allowed Era to move his mouse a bit and press the right mouse button, ending the game in one single swing. NTH called the ‘Good Game’ at 67 minutes, crowning Fnatic as the first champions of THOR Open!

Third place Finals

An all Swedish affair went down as se Pulse took on se 4 Friends + Chrille. While 4FC took out the first game, Pulse managed to equalize in the second, sending the series to the third and deciding game. The final game went the way of 4FC, rounding out the upsets of THOR Open..

Unfortunately, the third place games were not shown on stream, as they were played at the same time as the grand finals.

Final Standings:

1st: eu Fnatic.Eu 100,000 SEK ($14,500)
2nd: se No Tidehunter 20,000 SEK ($3,000)
3rd: se 4 Friends + Chrille 10,000 SEK ($1,500)
