Arrangements for the upcoming eight-team LAN finals for the THOR Open, hosted by Fragbite, have been disrupted with today's unfortunate news that both de We haz Asian and eu qojqva have both been forced to withdraw from the competition.

The withdrawal of the two teams - who were respectively the first and final to qualify for the main event - follows the earlier withdrawal of ru Virtus.Pro, who were forced to pull out due to passport issues.

Personal issues were cited as the cause of qojqva's sudden withdrawal, whereas understandable financial issues were blamed for WhA's non-attendance, as explained by their manager de Peter 'Pedda' Kolaska:
We are really sorry to tell you That we can not attend to Thor Open. We qualified as first team for this event and we were really excited about this Lan and hoped to place really good there. Never the less after All Those troubles with H2K and DreamHack qualification, we are not Able to Participate at Thor Open due to financial problems. During and After Dreamhack we tried to find a solution to go to Stockholm, unfortunately without success. We still have no sponsor, but we hope this will change in the future! Shoutout to our friends and fans! You are great!"

Fortunately for the event, replacements for all three teams have already been sought, with se 4 Friends + Chrillee replacing the Russian squad, and now two more Swedish squads taking up the remaining unfulfilled slots: se Out of Tangos and se Gam.DotA.

The THOR Open finals take place this weekend, on the 8th and 9th of December in Kistamässan, Sweden, and the eight teams will be fighting for a slice of the 130,000 SEK (approximately $18,000) prize pool.
