Despite holding leagues and qualifiers for Dota 2 players, this will be the first time FACEIT has live broadcast a Dota 2 event, having outsourced in the past to the GD Studio.
“This is one of the last chances teams will get to really practice and gain notoriety before the invites are sent out for the coming Boston Major so we expect some nail biting matches," said Michele Attisani, Chief Business Officer and co-founder of FACEIT.

OG and MDL 4th place Team Secret, who both have signed up to compete. Another participant is Ninjas in Pyjamas*, who kept their roster from TI6 and who had a big win against 
Artem 'fng' Barshack's 
Vega Squadron * last week in DreamLeague Season 6. The team with the least matches played since the roster lock is Team Liquid, who bolstered their team with the addition of OG's
Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi in the reshuffle, but who have yet to get cracking this season. Eight teams will play in the tournament for a total prizepool of $25,000. Participating teams (and their record since the roster lock Sept 18th)
