After having the rug pulled violently from under their feet by ua Natus Vincere, cn Invictus Gaming find themselves in the Loser Bracket against their compatriots and last year's runner's up, cn EHOME, who made a truly remarkable comeback to win their previous match against my Orange eSports.

cn EHOME 0 cn Invictus Gaming 1

Summary

After seeing EHOME make such an emphatic comeback in their previous match with a quite frankly terrifying Tiny, Invictus Gaming banned him out first. This allowed EHOME to take the coveted Naga Siren for themselves and also the fan-favourite Storm Spirit, whereas iG took the tried and tested Morphling and Chaos Knight as their choice of hard carries.

It was iG who scored the first blood and applied the early pressure with a succession of kills; EHOME's odd choice to deploy Naga alone to the middle lane against Leshrac and Chaos Knight proving to be ineffective. On the other hand, EHOME had the superior farm in the early game, with Storm in particular sourcing gold freely on the bottom lane.

As the game progressed, iG increased their lead in kills, and as often naturally happens, their general farm rate began to increase too, and their key heroes began to catch up in last-hits with those of EHOME's, with the exception of LaNm's Naga Siren. With iG controlling all aspects of the match, and EHOME's heroes having little to no pressure, it was only a matter of time before iG made the necessary breakthrough, and surely enough, that breakthrough came in in the 31st minute, when they finally took EHOME's middle barracks. After another failed defence of their base, EHOME admitted defeat in the 36th minute.
