History:

mousesports previously dabbled in the DotA scene in 2008 with a highly successful team consisting the likes of KuroKy, and Miracle. After placing third in DreamHack Winter 2008, the team would disband despite much achievements. Puppey himself stood in for mouz during DreamHack, and would later form one of the best teams in history with ex-mouz players at Kingsurf International, redefining the art of ganks and playing some of the most exciting DotA matches.

After a three year absence from the scene, mousesports decided to rejoin with the signing of EBIN as their Dota 2 squad. The first lineup consisted of DeMent, Trixi, Rexi, twiSta, and SingSing. The team performed reasonably well and gained a significant following for their love for agressive play, especially SingSing for his entertaining personality and gameplay. With twiSta leaving due to real life commitments, SexyBamboe was taken as a replacement after a series of outstanding performances as a stand-in.

A period of chaos would ensue, as the team made many roster changes. The team would fall apart due to internal conflicts, with Trixi, Rexi, and DeMent leaving. After a series of changes, it was announced that SingSing, SexyBamboe, 1437, Black^, and ComeWithMe would be the lineup.

With so much changes and The International approaching, the team was not favored to do well and earn an invite. However, it became evident that the team’s different personalities clicked extremely well, and their gameplay was chaotic, risky, entertaining, and can be effective. During The International West Qualifiers, mouz played in some of the most exciting Dota 2 matches, notably against Virtus.Pro, showcasing their agressive plays.

Black^, SingSing, 1437, SexyBamboe, ComeWithMe, Paisy.

Unfortunately, the team had consistency issues and would fall to mTw in the qualifier, and the latter proceeded to win the invite to Seattle. Despite convincing performances in the early stages of DreamHack Summer 2012, the team would falter once again to mTw, and it was mTw that emerged victorious against Na`Vi in Jönköping.

Having not qualified for Seattle, a surprise came as Valve announced that both mousesports and World Elite are backup teams for The International, and they would travel to the event. It was unfortunate that ComeWIthMe could not obtain a US visa, and the team opted to use KuroKy as their stand-in. But mouz’s luck returned as MUFC had issues that prevented one of their players from attending the event. Valve would host a qualifier between the two backup teams to determine the last team competing. mouz dominated WE 3-0 and secured themselves the last slot in one of the most unexpected turn of events.

Roster:

(Clicking on the individual hero icons will take you to that hero's profile in our database!)

1437 (Captain)
ca Theeban Siva

1437 had previously played in teams such as OK.Nirvana.int, where was part of the team that achieved an admirable 7th place at The International 2011. Following two stints with It’s Gosu, 1437 decided to join his good friends in mousesports. The Canadian normally plays the support role with heroes such as Shadow Demon, Venomancer, and Crystal Maiden. His love for the dual mid is obvious and often we see him partnering with another carry hero to dominate the middle lane. Aside from support, 1437 is one of the best players with Dark Seer and has always pushed the hero to the limits.

SingSing
nl Wehsing Yuen

One of the most popular player in the scene, SingSing has gained a huge fanbase for his entertaining personality and in game dominance. Recent changes of roles saw SingSing either playing solo mid or the fourth role depending on the heroes and strategy of the team. SingSing is famous for his risky plays, and heroes such as Rubick, Shadow Shaman, and Tiny. Known for his unorthodox plays in public games, SingSing does incorporate certain elements into the competitive scene, such as valuing Kunkka as a viable pick, which has worked out well for the team. Along with his eternal love for Bamboe, it is no coincidence that the two play some of the craziest and best moments in Dota 2.

SexyBamboe
nl Alaan Faraj

The other half of the couple, SexyBamboe is a player that is famous for his incredibly risky plays that either turn out to be completely breathtaking or just not breathtaking. Previously a public game player, SexyBamboe made the successful transition into the competitive scene and has continued to impress with heroes such as Templar Assassin, Nature’s Prophet, and Enigma. He has the ability to pull through in the most crucial moments with clutch Black Holes, Burrowstrikes, and many more that tips the teamfight into mouz’s favor. SexyBamboe has publicly stated that he could see himself in a threesome with SingSing and ComeWithMe.

Black^
de Dominik Reitmeier

Black^ had trouble finding a team that he fitted well in, and was always having brief stints with teams such as NEXT.kz as well as the top sought stand-in player. After joining mousesports, Black^ has improved his play and is a consistent carry player, notably for his immense understanding of heroes such as Morphling, Anti Mage, and Clinkz. An aggressive player by nature, we often see him joining ganks in the early game to gain an advantage, but he can also handle the pressures of a dangerous lane well. On LAN, Black^’s ferocious roars often helps with team morale and intimidates opponents. It would be a dream to watch a Black^ and rOtk live match.

KuroKy
de Kuro Takhasomi

A player with a rich history, KuroKy is a legendary player during his days with Kingsurf International, where along with Puppey they built an era in the game whereby their team was feared by every team. Following the disbandment of Ks.int, the team became GGnet but was unable to perform at the same level of play as before. When Puppey decided to leave for Na`Vi, KuroKy lead the team in Gamescom but performed poorly and soon left the scene. A series of short comebacks saw him playing with several teams but was unable to find the right home. With ComeWithMe not playing, KuroKy was the selected stand-in and his performances in the first games has been consistent and steady. Could KuroKy rediscover his top form and demonstrate his peak performances again? Seattle would be the ideal place to do so.

ComeWithMe
ro Craciunescu Alexandru

Despite not playing in Seattle, ComeWithMe remains an integral part of mousesports. He had previously attended The International 2011 with OK.Nirvana.int alongside current teammate 1437. After the disbandment of the team, CWM joined teams such as dignitas, where they managed to perform well initially but could not recover from a dip in form. He briefly joined Darer but left shortly as Artstyle decided to pursue a Ukrainian line up instead. After joining mousesports, ComeWithMe has emerged to be one of the best utility players in Europe, with many great performances on heroes such as Enigma, Enchantress, and Venomancer. Recently we see CWM also playing the solo mid role with Invoker.

Chances at The International:

Does anyone truly know? mousesports prefers to play aggressive games and love to take risks. The times when they pay off, the team will get a considerable advantage; the times when they don’t, the team loses significant ground. Consistency issues often plague the team, but when they are truly on their top form mousesports is capable of challenging top teams. With the variety of international teams in Seattle, it will be interesting to see how mouz will do. A few days ago mouz did not even stand a chance for the million, but now they do. Could they win everything? It’s a tall order but with mouz everything seems possible.
