FnaticRC claim aL Invitational

eu Fnatic RaidCall have won the AbsoluteArena Invitational Dota 2 tournament, after recovering from their fall into the lower brackets to exact revenge upon se Team Infused in the Grand Final for the $700 main prize.



Up until that point, Infused - who had been playing with stand-ins - had not lost a single match in the entire tournament, but when it came to the final stage, they came up short and had to settle for the second place prize of $200.

Finishing in third were dk Copenhagen Wolves, who pocketed $100 as consolation.

Final Standings

1st - eu Fnatic RaidCall -700$
2nd - se Team Infused - 200$
3rd - dk Copenhagen Wolves - 100$

Can some1 tell me who played for Wolves? Because they registered for the WCG German Qualifiers with a different roster - maybe just to meet the regulations, but Pimpalicious has been playing with them recently.

pretty sure they already understand there all low tier 2 teams, but regardless there still a top tier teams who will stomp any "semi-pro" team which deserves respect in it self.

They were slacking behind because they were still playing HoN. Now that they start focusing on DOTA2 you see the result. They stomped 2 games vs wolves and the games vs INFS looked like pubstomps.

What makes this team so special and so different than all the others is the story they have behind them , and their incredible individual skill and potential.
You cant really compare fnatic dota experience that summed up to about 3-4 months of playing (they started at around april) to most of the top team who had played dota for almost a decade.

Yet, this team is getting better and better and the way that they won this specific tournament is incredible. Well done guys.

INFS playing with the same standins for whole tournament! so u cant really count that, also there were other good teams in this tournament but they got knocked out.
i understand that this is not one of the top tournaments, but you cant deny fnatic played well, and if you saw the finel, every game was pretty convincingly in favour of fnatic.

I think it's unfortunate that fnatic was placed in by far the hardest group for the defense, as I would like to see some more games.

They played with that lineup the whole turnament and did not loose a single match until the grand finals... And that was the line up that Infs was signed up with so you can't really say that they even were stand ins.

Fnatic's drafting and item choises was really good and skillwise is probably one of the best teams out there, they just got to get a little bit more consistant. If they play their "A game" they can perhaps have a shot against teams like CLG, mTw, and maybe even Navi.

Let the hating begin!

Well Fnatic won the tournament with mTw, Next.kz, Empire, Infs, GL.int and WhA. Who cares if a team had standins if they were able to clear other teams out of their way with same standins?
