ECAL Americas League proceeds to knockouts

The North and South America League, hosted by the Elite Cyber Athlete League, has been whittled down to the final 8 teams who will compete in a straight knockouts grid for a $3000 prize pool.



12 teams from across the regions were originally invited to participate, with a further three - one of course from down under - qualifying to participate in the original group stages, where the top two from each group advanced. The eight remaining teams are:

au Absolute Legends
us Complexity Gaming
br vTi
us POTM Bottom
us belieB
us Evil Geniuses
us Dusa

All of the knockout stage matches will be best-of-three affairs, with the exception of the Grand Final, which will be best-of-five. The first of the knockout stage clashes will be between Quantic and aL, on Wednesday, August 1st at 01.30 CEST (19:30 EST).

col vs PB should be the best game to watch out of all this 4 games. PB have been doing so well latelly i think they are starting to make their way to the top tier team's level .. but then again they havent beaten complexity if im not mistaken .. it should be a very very interesting match .. too bad they had to face so early.
