Orange takes gold in Masters IX

posted by Tezzeret, 359 days ago

After a hard fought best-of-three final, my Orange eSports has been crowned the champions of the joinDOTA Masters IX with au Absolute Legends taking second place for the third time.

In the semi finals, Orange and aL took down MUFC and Mineski respectively to advance to the Grand Final with the game between Mineski and aL pushing to almost 60 minutes with bLeek getting double Divine Rapiers on Nature's Prophet.

In game one of the Grand Finals, aL went with their usual Antimage pick while Orange opted for a hero that has seen less game time lately, Mirana. Right off the bat, Orange went on the aggressive, getting a quick first blood on the bottom lane followed by a successful gank on aL, netting a triple kill on YamateH's Mirana. Orange kept on the pressure on aL, not allowing them to get the items needed on their heroes. aL called GG at around 30 minutes with a 4-25 kill score.

Gank on Bleek

Orange continued with their aggressive play into game two picking up heroes that they are confident with like Queen of Pain, Windrunner and Invoker. aL opted for the late game carry Syllabear. With an aggressive trilane from Orange, Musica on Syllabear was unable to farm comfortable, couple that with three quick deaths set him back even more. Eventhough, he was able to get his Radiance up in due time, it was all too late and aL calls GG at around 30 minute. This marks the third time that aL have appeared in a joinDOTA Master's final and have taken second place in all three.

Why rofl? Orange is one of the best SEA team. They are all veterans who have shining Dota careers and have been together for quite a long time.
And aL is no longer a top-tier team. They are strong indeed, but they have fallen back a litte compared to the day they broke into the competitive scene.

Because it's funny how aL didn't even one match! Too much for a dreamhack participant and a TI2 invitee.

Being a dreamhack participant means nothing in an asian tournament. Orange is also a TI2 invitee. i dont really see your point

You act like you know about the teams and players but you seriously don't. How about you have a cup of some STFU :)

Yeah, they won two matches instead. And reached the grand finals. And got beaten by another very respectable and high-tier team. Your reaction is absolutely bizaare, Orange (an exceedingly talented and skilled team) beat aL on the day, it won't be the only time, and aL almost without a doubt; will beat them in the future. You are getting really excited about nothing remotely significant.

Orange lost 2-0 to Zenith.. But it doesnt make them a bad team. they won them 2-1 too? it just depends on how u play that game.. like MUFC played a really bad game against Orange compared to the one against Harrosh

WP by Orange, Orange need to start playing with 5-man now... Orange seriously need Mushi in Ti2. KyXY still need alot experience.. 2month is not enough for him kyxy training as the hard carry for Orange... since there's no dota2 tourney in upcoming months.
