It was unfortunate that both

DK and

Duskbin dropped out of the competition due to scheduling conflicts, we have invited both

Harrosh and

HappyFeet as replacements.

As

Zenith had unforeseen delays in the finals for Gigabyte Dota Masters, they have decided to pull out, and will be replaced by

Sequential Gaming.

joinDOTA Masters IX will happen this weekend, featuring top teams from Asia. Eight teams will duke it out in this series for a winner takes all prize of €500, sponsored by GIGABYTE Technology together with AMD.

The competition will be held on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th. Eight of the finest Dota 2 teams from Asia have accepted the challenge to be the next Masters.

The eight invited teams:

Absolute Legends

Orange

MUFC

HappyFeet

Sequential Gaming

Harrosh

EHOME

TongFu

The first round of matches will be held on Saturday, whilst the Semifinals and Grand Final will be held on Sunday. All matches are best of one, with only the finals a best of three match. The schedule is as follows, with all times in CEST.

Previous Masters of Asia include MUFC, Zenith, and EHOME. Will we see one of these teams win the title, or will another powerhouse surge and win their maiden Masters title?

Toby 'TobiWan' Dawson will be casting all of these matches live for you to view and cheer along for your favorite teams.

#5 I'm going to say it once and once only. We always attempt to invite all the 'best' teams, but not every team can make our schedule. For example, for this Masters, LGD and iG has DotA competitions, whilst WE has WCG qualifiers. That being said, we hold our list of invites to the highest prestige, and we are extremely happy with all eight teams invited. Hope this clears things up for all future events that we do at joinDOTA.
