Second GU Open Series this weekend

$150 is up for grabs once again in the second Open Series qualifier for the Gamer University Invitational Series - now sponsored by Twitch.tv - which is set to get underway this Saturday.



With se Team Infused coming out on top in the first Open Series qualifier, seven more teams must still yet earn the right to fight for the $10,000 grand prize in the Invitational Series, and the second of those teams will be decided this weekend.

The second Open Series - exactly like the first - will be a best-of-one single elimination contest, with the format expanding to best-of-three clashes for the Semi and Grand Finals. Up to 32 teams may participate, amateur and professional alike. There are still spaces to fill, so if you think you've got what it takes, the chance is there for you to grab your teammates and fight for the chance to qualify for the Invitational Series.

The action starts this Saturday, June 23rd at 13:00 EST (19:00 CEST), and us Brandon 'FireFlash' Ferris will be on hand again to cast the action live on the Gamer University stream, along with his co-commentator us Andy 'Draskyl' Stiles.
