DH Semi Finals 1: mTw rises triumphant!
posted by Roegnvaldr, 339 days ago

Mousesports and
mTw duke it out in the semi finals on DreamHack summer 2012! The european teams have shown strong teamplays and have both paved their way to the semi finals with nothing but victories. But one must bow their heads now, and that ended up being Mousesports, who fought fiercely, but didn't manage to win this time. Check the summaries below!

Summary
The game started a bit slow but its pace grew as the teams started ganking each other. Mouz proved to be stronger on the push factor, but mTw didn't lag behind, advancing their pushes just as much. Quickly mTw stabilished a gold superiority, performing fast ganks that completely shut down Mouz farming and gold production.
Mouz tried many times to perform a counter attack, but their efforts were quickly brushed off by mTw's optimal teamfight capabilities. Enigma threw precise black holes that simply negated any team fight from mouz. Furthermore Beastmaster took too much time to get his level 6, missing critical opportuinities to use the ultimate. Juggernaut also had incredible damage per second and speed, quickly damaging Mouz's supports and shutting them off from teamfights. mTw won the game quite quickly and convincingly.

Summary
Mouz started this game with an early kill that set their standards of agressivity for the rest of the match. In all lanes Mouz played extremelly agressive and simply didn't leave room for mTw to breathe. Omniknight was left with Broodmother and had constant issues on his lane, being forced to push back to the second tower very early in the game.
As for the top lane, a great clash of acidic substances happened as small teamfights happened between the teams. At one moment an exchange of towers was due to happen, but Mouz bounced the attackers off, avoided the destruction of their towers and obliterated both top and bottom towers.
With a 20 minute mark Roshan kill for Mouz and their excellent pushing power, mTw had little room for expansion and had to call the GG which marked the end of another one-sided game.

Summary
A much slower game in contrast to the other matches, teamfights and kills weren't as common, but it was grossly compensated with tower pushing. By the 14th minute mark, Mouz only had one standing tower outside their base, which allowed mTw to keep Mouz out of position. Despite Clinkz's ability to farm with rather ease, by the time he had his Orchid Malevolence, Mouz had almost no control on the map, lacking the wards to compensate for this.
With no place to run and only to hide, Mouz kept jungling in order to safely get some gold. This careful maneuver from Mouz halted mTw's advance and allowed them space for Clinkz to gank. Yet this also did not prove enough. When advancing to mTw's top tower, Clinkz was caught off position and quickly disposed of. This allowed an opening for mTw who pushed the top lane and in a maddening clash of forces, destroyed Clinkz again, taking over Mouz's base and winning the game and proceeding to the Grand Finals!
