joinDOTA OPEN I: Final 16

Being the first of joinDOTA OPEN, a huge number of participants turned up for the competition. In an attempt to compete amongst the best, every single team displayed huge efforts and gave their best shot to go through.

Eight out of the hundreds of fallen teams, remain in contention and proceed to the pre-quarter final stage.

Teams from every corner of Europe and US registered for joinDOTA OPEN I. Many prominent names featured in the list, such as

Evil Geniuses,

Mousesports,

Virtus.Pro,

Quantic Gaming (QxG),

eX (ex Quantic),

Darer - to name a few.

All of them qualified except for Darer who were defeated at the hands of Miggel and co. After the recent controversy surrounding the Danish team, the Danes have finally been connecting well and their team synergy has taken a positive turn.

All the pre-quarter final matches will be played at 18:00 CEST today. The best matches will be broadcasted by our cheesy commentator

I'm not entirely sure how to draw the line, but I don't think competitive teams should be allowed to enter these tournaments. This is a tournament for the community and amateurs, but neither have any chance at winning this thing. Only to get the "privilege" to be rolled by a top team. Which is ok for them maybe, I don't know.
