TPL weeks 2 and 3 wrap-up

posted by Blue_Knight, 1 year ago
The third round of The Premier League has almost reached its end, with round four of the event set to begin this week. Due to the multitude of events in competitive Dota 2 in recent weeks, several Premier League matches were delayed to alternate dates than was originally scheduled, with some matches still yet to be played at all.

In round two, the still-to-be-sponsored kz Next.kz found their groove once again to take down the Romanians in ro Dignitas as the best-of-three tie went all the way. Elsewhere, se Infused were beaten by the reformed and rejuvenated eu mTw, us compLexity won against dk Quantic, and eu Mousesports put ru Moscow Five to the sword.

In week three of the competition, mTw marched on with a victory over ru Darer, se Counter Logic Gaming defeated Next.kz, whereas eu FnaticRC lost to Quantic, and there were no surprises as Mousesports were brought down by ua Na'Vi.

With Fnatic soon to go up against CLG, coL yet to play Infused, and M5 set to take on Dignitas to conclude the third round of matches, only one unplayed match remains to be cleared from the backlog: Darer versus Na'Vi, which is currently scheduled for this coming Saturday.

Otherwise, round four of The Premier League is scheduled as follows:

The second season of the Premier League follows the format of the first season. Viewers can expect to see six best-of-three matches per week, on a daily basis, between ten of the world's top teams. At the end of twelve weeks, the top three teams will split a $10,000 prize pool -- $5000, $3000, $2000 respectively.
