Valve has come out with yet another update to the beloved compendium, this time boosting ways to earn compendium coins and levels for all compendium owners. They have brought back the Ten Hero Challenge, Item Recycling and added an extra in-game challenge to help us level up our precious golden books.

After Valve's update earlier in the week informing us of the delay of our sweet, sweet Immortal II's, they've come to our rescue (sort of) and helped us out on our compendium grind.

With the update we have the addition of (3) new features:

1. Ten Hero Challenge

If you remember from last year, the ten hero challenge rewarded wins on the random selection of heroes. Valve's brought it back for another year, and given us the chance to finish the challenge three times, for 450 compendium points, which roughly corresponds to 4.5 levels.

2. Item Recycling

Well now we have a place for those pages of commons. The exchange rate is 25 compendium points for every 10 items, as well a nifty Charm of the Crucible Jewel II. Valve has also added some extra achievements which also have to do with Charms. Lastly, if you recieved some undesirable Compendium Immortals, you can send them off for two Compendium Levels in return.

3. Hero-Specific In-game Challenges

Rounding out the list of additions are hero-specific in-game challenges, which go along with the three challenges we currently have. To clarify, these challenges are the ones listed at the draft screen, beside the yellow shield. More precious points will go our way after accomplishing the challenges.

And that's all. Valve has sent us a care package to hold us over before the next big bounty: The TI5 Compendium Immortals II, which will surely be worth the wait. Check out their official release here.
