With new patch and the new meta already up and running everyone was curious as to how the Dota 2 meta will look on the top level. The teams are yet to truly explore 6.84 but we could already see some fresh picks and strategies in play.

Virtus.Pro* managed to overcome Ninjas in Pyjamas* in the first two games of the tournament. However that didn't stop the TI3 champions revisiting their roots as Bulldog's signature Lone Druid made an appearance. Alliance easily defeated the underdogs of the tournament - Lemondogs* (formerly 4FC).In the finals Alliance took on VP. Despite some creative drafting from the Swedish team the Russians seemed to be one step ahead at all times. Dominating in lanes and predicting all enemy movements got them off to an early lead in each game that they didn't let go of as they saw out the series. As a result VP took the series 2-0 and became the champions of ESL ASUS Play It Cool Dota 2 Invitational.
