dk Rasmus 'rASmus' Fillipsen and his newest team Cloud9 managed to finish 3rd in Starladder XII LAN Finals, the highest placing of any Western team. The Dane was content with the overall result despite his keen interest to defeat iG, but also expressed his confusion around the disappointing results of Team Secret, saying their early exit made the Chinese teams look that little bit better. Although, MiseRy said there is "no doubt" that the Chinese teams are stronger.

Cloud9 were the only team to take a game off the two Chinese teams at the event, and although the Dane ended up on the losing side against iG he had hoped for a victory. "It's a pretty good result overall but I would have like to take down iG," said MiseRy in his interview with Fragbite.se. "I think we had them in the second game, we just took a really bad fight and then it was really hard to win the game from there."

The first game was a different story, with Cloud9 looking spot on with their picks. "The first game we got everything we wanted, it was like this our line-up this is Cloud9 line-up, that was pretty easy for us, we were really confident."

As for the second game MiseRy cited the lack of impact on de Adrian 'Fata' Trinks's Templar Assassin one of the issues, with the hero being fourth picked, allowing iG to respond with Ember Spirit and Phantom Lancer picks. Both Ember Spirit and PL were iG's cores, and they both made quick work of TA's Refraction. FATA's item choice was also questioned by the BTS commentators following his choice to opt for the Skadi and Sange and Yasha build.

Misery placed 3rd with Cloud9 at the event

However, MiseRy agreed with FATA's choice of items. "The Skadi Sange and Yasha build is so popular on almost all carries, especially ranged carries, like Sniper and Troll. We tried it out on TA and it worked really well in practise, it's super strong actually but it's still a hero where if they have too many ways of dealing with Refraction then the hero becomes pretty mediocre compared to other mid heroes."

Although, the determining factor for the Dane was the Roshan fight. "We took a really bad fight at Roshan at one point, and some messups earlier but I mean we should have won that game. We had early game we had potential to take all their towers," said Misery. "It was just a bit of poor play."

MiseRy also commented on the gap between China and the West which was also brought up by iceiceice yesterday. "They (Chinese teams) are obviously stronger than the western scene right now there is no doubt about that. I could feel it from playing against VG and iG. There's a big gap between the best Chinese teams the best Western teams overall."

The Dane also expressed his confusion around the disappointing results of Team Secret, stating he had expected Secret to carry Europe at the event along with C9 if they "had a good run". "It's weird right, all their players have so many achievements, and all their players are so good individually," said MiseRy, but he was still unable to pinpoint the reason behind their early exit.
