However, the player transfer came about in good terms, despite the comments from Sneg1, Virtus.Pro's CEO about ASUS.Polar's unwillingness to lose a core member in DKPhobos. The shuffle, abiding by the contract established between Virtus.Pro and DKPhobos, came at a "large-scale withdrawal penalty", which Na'Vi paid.
It appears that both ASUS.Polar and DKPhobos had a mutual desire to re-form the roster. Virtus.Pro's press release cited this as the primary reason behind the re-shuffle, but also Vadim 'Sedoy' Musorin's need to take time away from professional play. It is understood he will remain as a "6th" player, standing in as a reserve. DKPhobos expressed appreciation and thanks to both the organization and teammates for the second chance, and warm words for his former team Na'Vi:
This series of reshuffles was unexpected not only for me, but for the scene overall. And now I'm incredibly happy to greet my ASUS.Polar teammates again. You can look at this situation differently, and I know how it looks from your side. I am sure, that this is the best outcome for both sides. Firstly, I want to thank the organization and team for giving me the second chance and taking me back into the ranks. I also want to say a couple of warm words to Natus Vincere as well: the time I spent with them brought me invaluable experience. And now, we move on.
Na'Vi's disappointing performance in the last month probably helped DKPhobos come to regret his decision. With a losing record of 6-9 in March, we witnessed the team bow out of the Summit 3 European qualifiers, drop out of the Winner's bracket in the ESL One Frankfurt qualifiers, and take 4th (out of 8 teams) at the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament in Malaysia.
ASUS.Polar on the other hand, has been on a tear since the additions of Sergey 'God' Bragin and Vadim 'Sedoy' Musorin from the former Virtus.Pro roster. The team's performance in the last month was outstanding, finishing with an 8-2 record with wins against EG, Alliance and NiP. Although ASUS was unable to qualify for the Summit 3 LAN finals, their gutsy performance against Team Secret in the Winner's Bracket Final gave us a glimpse of the team's incredible potential.
The tentative rosters for Na'Vi and ASUS.Polar are as follows:
ASUS.Polar's roster Artem 'fng' Barshack
Ilya 'Illidan Stormrage' Pivtsaev
Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk
Olexandr 'DkPhobos' Kucherya
Sergey 'God' Bragin (Stand-In)
Vadim 'Sedoy' Musorin (Reserve)
Navi's roster Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin
Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich
Ivan 'Vanskor' Skorokhod
Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev (Stand-In)
