Fnatic announces PLAY RaidCall Dota2 Cup

Team tournaments are getting mainstream nowadays with Fnatic being the latest organisation to announce their own. The prize pool? $500 winner takes all.


This two day tournament is scheduled to be played out next Monday and Tuesday on the 5th and 6th of March. It is open for anyone and everyone to play, so you can put your team to the test if you think you have what it takes. However, there is cap of 64 teams. Registration instruction and link are available below.

As for the format, it will be a best-of-one single elimination tournament, up until the semi and grand finals, where it will switch to a best-of-three format. In addition to the champion team being able to walk away with the $500 prize, the MVP of the whole tournament will receive a SLAPPA Fnatic M.A.S.K. Backpack worth 140 Euros.

March 5th

Check in: 17:00 - 17:45 CET

Round of 64: 18:00 CET
Round of 32: 19:15 CET
Round of 16: 20:30 CET
Round of 8: 21:45 CET

March 6th

Semi-Finals: 17:00 CET
Grand Finals: 21:00 CET

Tournaments happen on the weekends when they're international. Tournaments that happen during the week are always going to be regional at best, as in NA only, EU only, etc.

Just think about this:

The Defense-> 6000€ for 3 months playing ------------> 67€ per day.
FnaticRC Cup-> 500$=380€ for 2 days playing---------> 190€ per day.
