by Power Rangers announced earlier today that ru Maxim ’ Shachlo’ Abramovskikh has departed the roster only two weeks after they failed to qualify for the Dota Asia Championship group stages. The PR management haven’t given any insights into the motivation behind the roster change, however they have said that it could take up to a month to find a replacement for Shachlo.

This comes only two months after Power Rangers acquired the mixed nationality CIS squad, during which time the team enjoyed considerable success in the European scene, including qualifying for the Starladder 11 LAN finals earlier this year. However, after failing to overcome the DAC Asia Championship wildcard qualifier, the squad has decided to undergo roster changes.

Despite the loss of Shachlo, the remainder of the squad will stick together under the Power Rangers tag, with the nature of possible replacements already being hinted at by the PR management team. However the organization has stipulated that it could take up to a month to find a replacement, meaning that the team may play with a stand-in while their roster is finalized.

Statement from the Power Rangers management:

"Thanks a lot to Max! We've been through a lot together in these past 6 months. Captain's departure, several substitutions, several lans. Together with Maxim we had bright victories and bitter defeats. Max is an excellent and positive person! He's a professional! I don't think he will remain without a team for long, and I very much hope that our paths will cross again more than once!

Surely, everyone is wondering who will be the PowerRangers' new player? At this point we can only say that we are looking at several players, including the young ones, but we will not call their names. I think, that we need about a month to make a decision and find a worthy replacement to Maxim. The coming months are very rich in tournaments, I think that it will not keep anyone bored!"

The future of the remainder of the Power Rangers squad is uncertain, but with a multitude of LAN events on the horizon, as well as The International qualifiers later this year, it will be crucial for the squad to stabilize their roster in a timely manner.
