sg Galvin ’Meracle’ Kang Jian Wen announced earlier today on his twitter page that sg Paul ’Hana’ Tan would be leaving the sg First Departure roster. The reason for the long standing member’s departure is his impending army service, an obligation which has seen many other Singaporean players leave the scene in the past. Neither First Departure nor Meracle have announced a replacement for Hana yet.

This comes after a period of relative stability for the Singaporean squad after their previous roster changes last year which saw previous FD members reunite. With Hana’s departure the possibility of him teaming up with Meracle and sg Wilson 'Poloson' Koh Chin in the future remains uncertain. Unfortunately Hana is not the first Singaporean player to be forced out of the competitive DOTA scene because of Singapore’s compulsory military service; however, as other players have proved in the past, it is possible to come back after service and continue to play competitively.

Current First Departure Roster
sg Galvin ’Meracle’ Kang Jian Wen
sg Wilson 'Poloson' Koh Chin
sg Chan 'Lubby' Jun Jie
sg Teo 'Kai' Sheng
