The best of three coming out of the stage 1 loser’s bracket saw eu TT stomping fi 4ASC out of the tournament with a convincing 2-0 series - behind stable lanes and excellent play on qojqva's Storm Spirit. TT will face off against ru VP in a final series to advance to Stage 2.

The drafting phase brought out few surprises. The Finns set down their anchor for the late game with a Medusa for Matumbaman - rounding out their draft with popular space creators Viper and Centaur. TT took a different route, drafting teamfight and aggression with a Storm, Gyrocopter and Tidehunter tri-core.

Laning got a little more curious with TT opting for an aggressive trilane to stop Medusa from getting a good start, leaving Singsing to dominate the top lane with an easy matchup vs Trixi’s Centaur. 4ASC scored a first blood at bottom, but their lane started to crumble after a few mistakes. With supports Buugi and JerAx unable to make rotations and gank qopjva before his vital level 6, things started to get out of control as Pajkatt and Singing pulled ahead of the pack in farm.

By 17 minutes, TT has an Orchid on Storm, blink on Tide and a Black King Bar on the Gyrocopter. 4ASC take a fight in middle and lose 4 with zero return kills and lose their middle tower. TT takes total map control and strangles the Finns, grabbed an aegis and ended the game at the bottom barracks after a dive at 29 minutes. Matumbaman ended the game with only a Linkens sphere. 4ASC end the game with 4 kills to TT’s 20, crumbling under Qojqva’s precise ganks and Dire’s powerful teamfight.

TT stepped confidently into the game 2 draft, first picking what seemed to be a very stable Tidehunter for Singing in G1 and Qojqva Storm Spirit, but changing gears in the second phase to a more push-oriented, classic Drow Ranger/Visage combo. 4ASC opt for the signature Matumbaman Ember Spirit, with Trixi on Faceless Void and vaalix on a core Jakiro.

The lanes pan out with 4ASC trying to go aggressive with the Void and TT dodging, sending Pajkatt’s Drow Ranger to bot with their trilane. Bot lane turns into a tri-vs-tri brawl with kills being traded, however TT comes out on top with Pajkatt’s superior damage utilizing the early Wraith Band build. Things quieten down until Singsing comes out of the jungle at 11 minutes with mana boots and a blink dagger, setting up a double kill for Qojvja at bottom lane. EGM’s Visage grabs medallion and TT take an easy aegis for Qojqva. Storm’s Orchid comes out at 15 minute after a successful fight at top lane using the aegis as bait.

TT pushes top lane with ravage up and dominate another teamfight, securing a triple kill for Qojqva. At 20 minutes, Storm leads the pack with 10k net worth and an 8-1 score. Things die down as in G1 and TT pushes in at 28 minutes, ending the game. Qojqva ends the game with 15 kills and one death.

Space for Storm Spirit
TT showed they came into this series with a clear plan, focusing on their own strategy rather than countering 4ASC. Stable lanes allowed them to push ahead early and some nice early support play from BuLba and EGM would stop 4ASC from getting any ganks on Qojvka, who ended the series with a collective 22-2 on Storm - in both games he was able to pick up an Orchid before 20 minutes. G1 and G2 ended within 2 minutes of each other, it seems all went according to plan. We will see if Tinker’s stability will continue in their next series as they fight to stay alive against ru Virtus Pro.
