In spite of losing 2:3 to Team Empire in the European final, Virtus.pro will be the representative of Europe after their rival had to pull out. Na'Vi.us came out on top of the American qualifiers, while CDEC surprisingly took the Chinese slot after a 3-1 victory over VG. Also notable is Rave defeating MVP.Phoenix in the Asia-Pacific region. Immunity (Australia), and especially Wired Gaming (Middle East) and Bravado Emotion (Africa) are the big underdogs. Lastly, after Arrow Gaming's disqualification due to the match-fixing scandal insidiousidol will attend for South East Asia.
More details on the qualifiers can be found on our Coverage Page. We will provide an introduction of the participating teams soon.
The competition will kick off on Saturday, November 1st with a groupstage. Not all details (group distribution, format, etc.) are announced yet, however a schedule has recently been released. The first match is expected to start at 12:00 CST (UTC +8). The top four teams will move on to the best of three semifinals. Those are scheduled for 10:00 CST on Sunday. The best of five grand final is set for 15:30 with the winner taking 25,000 USD.
The broadcasting crew for MSI Beat IT includes our very own Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen and Austin 'Capitalist' Walsh. joinDOTA will provide both video and written coverage live from Taipei throughout the tournament.
