The post-TI4 reshuffle found another victim in the form of world Team Zephyr, the fan favourites who went to South Korea in order to pursue their Dota career. It looks like nl Alaan 'SexyBamboe' Faraj, their former offlaner, took his hat.

With just an ok performance in this years The International 2014 SEA Qualifier, Zephyr might have disappointed some fans and possibly themselves, but nevertheless they fared well in the competition and showed their potential to play along the Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams of the world. Other than their decision totake in us Ben 'Merlini' Wu to replace us Kevin 'Purge' Godec in the KDL Season3 the team seemed stable and ready for another year in the ever growing Korean scene.

This makes the news that their former offlaner SexyBamboe is leaving even more shocking. We managed to reach out to Bamboe and ask him about his time in Korea, his reasons for parting ways with Zephyr and his plans for the future.

As sad as it is to see you leaving Korea, I am sure you had a lot of fun there. What was it like to live in Korea, especially with a job like yours?

It was actually amazing compared to anywhere else I've lived. The thing that I'm gonna miss the most is the nightlife. I could go out on any given day of the week and there would always be a lot of people going out, partying, drinking and whatnot. As for my job, people were a lot more accepting of the fact that I'm a gamer. Some would envy me for it which was kinda cool.

Your team was one of the most stable ones in Korea, playing Dota on a consistently high level and all seemed to get along nicely. What were the reasons for your departure?

The Korean/SEA scene isn't as developed as any other scene. My ambition as a player exceeds the capability the scene can provide.

Do you plan on staying in the competitive scene, and if so, where will you go next? Is there something in store for you already?

I'm unsure of what the future has in store for me. My goal is to join a European team and compete with the best again. Korea was an offseason, now it's time for me to come back in full force and give it my all.
