MSI Beat IT Global 2014 just rounded up the remainder of its European qualifiers with an entertaining Bo5 Grand Finals, pitting two of Russia’s finest - ru Virtus Pro & ru Team Empire - against one another for the one and only ticket to the LAN Finals in Taipei, Taiwan.

Both teams have shown to be on top of their game on the dawn of a new season and despite many of the bigger names still shuffling their feet and teams, both ru Virtus Pro and ru Team Empire look to be solid contenders in the tournaments to come. While Virtus Pro had to work their way through the grueling Lower Bracket of the MSI Beat IT Global 2014, they came back to the contention and the Grand Finals by decimating all of their opponents without losing a single game. Team Empire on the other hand had a much tougher road through the qualifiers only edging world Team Tinker and the aforementioned VP with a close 2 to 1 margin, but it was all it took to reach the Grand Finals of the qualifiers.

The rematch of the Round 2 matchup between the two Russian teams was much closer than it seemed with ru Virtus Pro showing brilliant performance in the first two games only to throw the game 3 towards their opponents early on. ru Team Empire had the Upper Bracket advantage of one game and gained some momentum for the last and deciding match of the series, which eventually propelled them just beyond the reach of Virtus Pro and to a crucial game 4 victory. Team Empire showed solid performance throughout the MSI Beat IT Global 2014 qualifier and as a result of their success in the Grand Finals, now faces the winners of the other qualifiers in Taipei, Taiwan on November 1st & 2nd.

ru Team Empire takes the victory and a well-deserved ticket to the LAN Finals in Taipei, Taiwan on November 1st & 2nd.
