Each year, the world's best teams and players use The International as a litmus test for their viability moving into the following season. As players and teams assess their strengths and weaknesses, this is the period with the most trades, drops, retirements, and free agencies of the year. Check inside for all the rumors and changes so far.

  • Confirmed: (29/08 - 19:00) Both us Sam "BuLba" Sosale and de Max "qojqva" Broecker have been officially released from us Team Liquid as they have found a new home in world Team Tinker.

  • Confirmed: (29/08 - 17:00) ru Sergey "Ars-Art" Revin has chosen to retire from the competitive scene leaving his previous team ru M5 without a fifth member. ru Vladimir "PGG" Anosov has stepped in as a replacement and will serve as the fifth member of the new ru Moscow 5 squad.

  • Confirmed: (28/08 - 16:00) us compLexity Gaming has announced their return to competitive Dota 2 by picking up us stayGreen, a former all-star Heroes of Newerth team.

  • Confirmed: (27/08 - 20:00) cn TongFu picks up a new team consisting of "retired" veterans of the Chinese scene. While the team originally stated they would play just for fun, there’s no doubt that the team of this caliber could become much.

  • Unconfirmed: (27/08 - 19:00) my Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung teams up with Ohaiyo, KyXy, Net & dabeliuteef for the G1-Gaming Challenge. Is this the beginning of Orange 2.0?

  • Confirmed: (27/08 - 17:00) The eu Secret Team finally shows its face to the public. The all-star roster of the team consists of top notch players such as Kuroky, Puppey, s4, n0tail/BigDaddy and Fly.

  • Confirmed: (26/08 - 21:00) cn DK have dissolved their Dota 2 roster effective immediately. The organization states that they are actively looking for new players to build their new team around.

  • Confirmed: (26/08 - 20:00) The Chinese reshuffle comes to an end as all the major teams apart from cn CIS and cn Team DK have released their rosters. This includes the brand new rosters of cn iG, cn LGD, cn Vici Gaming, cn NewBee and cn HGT.

    • Confirmed: se Gustav "s4" Magnusson has officially parted ways with the team joining the new eu Secret Team roster.

    • Unconfirmed: Both se Jerry "EGM" Lundkvist and se Gustav "s4" Magnusson have been rumored to be out of team se Alliance with dk Rasmus "MiSeRy" Filipsen and ex HoN pro se Rasmus "Chessie" Blomdin stepping in to round up the new five-man roster.


    • Confirmed: de Dominick "Black^" Reitmeier has departed from cn CIS after the disappointing performance at TI4.

    • Confirmed: cn Vici Gaming have successfully acquired the services of cn Lin "June" Shiyang from cn CIS.

    Cloud 9

    • Confirmed: nl Weh Sing "SingSing" Yuen has parted ways with world Cloud 9 on good terms and wishes his former team mates the best of luck. He also stated that his new team is already in the works.

    • Confirmed: world Cloud 9 has added de Adrian "FATA" Trinks as their fifth member after releasing SingSing just a few days ago. The final roster of the new C9 is:
