Featuring Greg "WhatisHip" Laird, Travis "Maut" Bueno, and Dakota "KOTLGuy" Cox, High Ground TV has announced itself onto the scene within the last 24 hours. The new studio will be seeking to bring the highest-quality casting in true independent fashion, starting with the American Dota League tonight.

The three of us (myself, Maut, and KOTLGuy) thought there was room in the space for another premium online broadcasting service [...] We'll be starting out by casting the ADL, with Maut as the main caster. We want to create content that everyone will want to watch and be a part of.

The studio, which was officially birthed yesterday with the official announcement will be a merger between these three casters and whatiship.tv, meaning more than just casting. High Ground TV has put itself into a position to be a full Dota content outlet: game coverage, interviews, columns, and general video and writing content spearheaded by the former WhatIsHip.TV Staff: LoveisDead, Dariath, Mason, and Nights.

This includes their one-on-one Interview series titled "Solo Mid," Where they have already had their first installment with Liquid.Bulba.

The Dota2 community reacts to HGTV

These three casters have been doing some amazing work lately. Greg, Travis and I were all in the casting trenches together for quite some time and I really hope to see them do well. They've been a great addition to the community, working relentlessly to get their names out there and hopefully they can secure a full-time gig.

You can watch their inaugural cast for the American Dota 2 League tonight on the ADL Twitch or with an in-game ticket.
