For the first time since the International 2013, Valve will be incorporating Fantasy Dota and Fantasy Leagues with special tournament Compendiums. The first of these will be the ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season #1 compendium that is already available in store for £5.99/7,19€/$9,99.

Valve's extensive blog post describes all the particulars of Fantasy Dota. In Fantasy Dota you will join five of your friends to form a Fantasy League and each of you will make a Fantasy Team of 5 pro players. Based on how well your players do in matches in DreamLeague Season 1, you will compete against your friends. To be eligible for the Fantasy League you will need to purchase the DreamLeague ticket from in store.

Once you’ve bought your ticket and created a Fantasy League, you can invite friends to join you and set a time for the Live Draft. During the Live Draft, members of your Fantasy League draft Pro Players onto their Fantasy Team, however unlike the International 2013 Compendium, each player can only be owned by one person. After the draft is completed, the Fantasy League will automatically create round-robin weekly head-to-head matchups, where every week you’ll try to earn points to win against one of the other members of the Fantasy League.

Fantasy Team matches begin on the 3rd of March so make sure to get everything sorted before then!
