TalkDOTA returns: 6.80 ChangeLog Special

posted by Malystryx.GDS, 236 days ago
JoinDota's long-lost chatshow talkDOTA will make its monumental return tonight with Jacob "Maelk" Toft-Andersen, Sébastien "7uckingMAd" Debs and Troels "Synderen" Nielsen as the esteemed guests. TobiWan and his panel of experts will be discussing the biggest news of the week - no not the jDL, patch 6.80!

The video chatshow which was halted last year, was a popular feature of the joinDOTA production team and included popular personalities Synderen and Puppey. A total of 15 episodes were produced which can be found on our YouTube channel.

talkDOTA was once very popular with the viewers and when we had to stop the series due to time restraints it was a very sad day for me. I never wanted to start it back up again until I was sure I could keep it going. We have a special chance right now to gauge the audience that might still be out there to watch talkDOTA with the 6.80 changes arriving and will use that spark to fuel a re-creation of the series.

The reboot episode of talkDOTA will start at 7pm CET tonight and will hail the return of Synderen to the panel. He will be joined by TI3 panelist Maelk as well as the outspoken 7ckngMad from Team Sigma. The four musketeers will be doing a ChangeLog special, focusing on what impact the latest patch 6.80 will have on competitive play.

TalkDOTA #6 6.76 ChangeLog Special from October 2012

Submit your 6.80 questions you'd like to see on talkDOTA!

Puppey declined (he was obviously asked), but we have Maelk and 7cking mad to replace him which I still think makes for an interesting panel with Synd.

That's a shame. Thank you so much for doing this though. And you couldn't have possibly find better people to replace him.

This is too fucking good. What's Tobi gonna do though? Scream how you can now target people with wards? Yell how Earth Shaker has 10 more movement speed now?

That's a pitty, but even just you and Synderen have a great synergy, so this will be fun anyway. Maelk, well i always likd his theorycrafting with the GD studio during the international. I haven't seen F7ckingMad in such discussion yet, but judging from his blog's entries,he'll do well. I'm looking forward yo hear you guys tonight :)

Preferred Ppy, but Maelk and 7Mad should compensate some atleast when it comes to his knowledge, propably not when it comes to comedy value. Personally I would have even preferred Kappatalist over Toby to lead the panel, but that's not a huge deal.
Who have done patch previews so far btw? I've seen Merlini's video already and know Draskyl/Bruno/Lumi have done one or are about to, plus Purge did one aswell. Any noticeable names (namely top tier players) whose previews I've missed? 1437+Winter -duo going through the log would specially be awesome, as their casting is pure awesomeness. :D

*edit* just noticed BuLba, Fogged, Arteezy, Maut, and Monolith have a review up aswell. So far the incoming JD crew has the best lineup in my book though.

I generally tend to watch only 1-2 of these thus I try to see the selection before commiting couple hours into any of them. :P

i really hope that talkDota will return with this... i'm eager to see tobi evolving his understanding of the game even further with 7ckngmad giving his 2 cents. he is a really smart guy and i also look forward to seeing him and syndereN working together to create something big. additionally, maelk is finally making an appearance on jD as part of something, since his job is so behind-the-scenes.

Even though I would have really liked PPY to be there, still 7kingmad makes a great replacement for him along with Maelk & Synd..gonna be good, waiting for tonight!

Good Job TOBI! :)

But I'm still not certain if this is the 'Big Thing' that you were talking about... What is it? Tell us dammit!!!

draskyl/bruno/lumi did theirs yesterday (16pm us east i think), look at draskyl's twitch vods for that. they did a pretty good job, had some childish contributions there but i think they made some good points during the analysis (its about 3h long, so you should decide whether you like mostly draskyl's way of analizing the game.

Yeah just saw it uploaded on my youtube feed aswell. Will propably end up watching the JD one live and maybe watch/listen to the vod of the Lumi/Draskyl analysis aswell later while I'm doing some paperwork or cooking.
<3 the patch reviews, but like you said it's 3h long aswell and goes through the same log so as much as I love the insight of several people going through the patch, there is little point watching all of them. :)
