Before the competition even got started, LGD.Int were forced to forfeit their two first games in the competition due to Braxton 'Brax' Paulson having to travel to Hong Kong in order to renew his Visa. As the schedule was too tight the matches could not be re-scheduled, which lead to DK and RattleSnake taking two free points each.
This walkover helped DK come out on top of the group, scoring an expected win over MUFC and drawing their other two games. Although not a particularly confident showing, it is enough for them to be seeded into the winners bracket semi-finals for the next stage of the competition.
After such an unfortunate start to the competition, LGD.Int stepped it up for their final two games of the competition, securing a 2-0 victory over their compatriots in LGD.Cn by making use of unconventional strategies. This loss left LGD.Cn in the surprising position of not having scored a single win during the groupstage, instead sitting on three draws and a loss, as they LGD.Cn ended the group in last position.
While RattleSnake were recepients of one walkover, they also ended up giving up one of their own due to a power-outage on the final day of the competition, giving MUFC a 2-0 win which might have ended up being highly important for their final standings, if not for the fact that LGD.Int were not done, scoring a 2-0 victory over MUFC, leaving the Malaysians in fourth position.
With RattleSnake and LGD.Int tied at 4 points each, the head to head ended up deciding it in RattleSnakes favour, giving them the second place group and LGD.Int finishing in third.
